(blank) of DOOM!
I have this tendency to throw "...of DOOM!" onto even the most innocuous of sentences. Take a normal office conversation, for instance:
Boss: "We've got to move the water cooler."
Me: "The water cooler? Of DOOM??"
So, it's inevitable that this monkey appeared this morning:

Here.
Since my arrival in the city, there had been a sense of impermanence surrounding me. Temporary apartment, temporary contract jobs, temporary moments, almost as if I had been waiting for life to start.
And now, I find myself settling into routine, biking to work, making friends, and enjoying life. It's nice.
But then, on Tuesday night, I heard an incredibly talented jazz singer perform two of my favourite jazz standards*, and I felt myself become temporary once more. My apartment has yet to right itself after my recent move, and a lack of groceries doesn't help.
*Gee Baby, Ain't I Good to You, and Why Don't You Do Right? And not to worrry folks, the monkeys will be back soon.

More Logos
Like I said, I've been working on a logo recently. Despite some excellent solutions, it looks as though I'll be going through one more round of concepts. Concepts which "fuse these elements together".
Hee hee hee. Jüz is funny (and a reference to Invader Zim).

Ah, the Days of Pulps
While developing a logo and visual identity for a research group, my visual meanderings took me to a solution that was far from presentable. If only the days of pulp fiction were still around: I can see the story unfold, as the hero twarts the evil scheme. The evil mastermind turns upon him, furious and screams, in an inhuman screech: "You'll pay for your foolishness!!! PAY WITH YOUR LIFE!! MEET … MY INFINITY BEAM!!!!!!"
PS. Sorry about the lack of updates, my five readers. I moved across the city and only just got internet yesterday night.
