The Problem with Photographers

Is that there's a constant stopping and starting, like a game of "Red Light, Green Light" gone awry, with cameras, note-taking and film.

Elle shot this (and was kind enough to let me post it) while waiting for me to photograph the spiral staircase in the Vatican Museums. It's quickly become one of my favourite portraits.

I have an almost identical one of you in New York at the graffiti museum, and then again in the graveyard. Perhaps your just a cardboard cutout that people move around to different neato locations so that we can pretend we're cool enough to be with a Real Live Photographer...
