Ya gotta lovepeople like that, don't you? I was asked to write the copy for a promotional brochure recently, told it should be "off-beat", "attention-grabbing", and "unexpected" in order to appealto the desired demographic (teenagers in all their too-cool glory). The proof came back with a request that it be "a little more main-stream," and "more direct." Laughed my ass off as I wrote them the most BORING copy ever and they told me it was perfect and went ahead with it.
